Think Outside the Box

Host a special event (fundraiser)

You’ve been talking about de-cluttering. Organize a neighborhood yard sale. Everyone loves your chili with your grandfather’s secret ingredient. How about a chili cook-off?

Launch a school supply drive

Wherever you gather with friends, sororities, fraternities, business associations, churches, etc. is the perfect place to start a school supply drive. Put out a big box with a list of what you want and talk it up.

Celebrate your birthday

Instead of gifts, ask your friends and family to make a donation to FOPJC in your honor. You don’t really need another tie or pair of slippers anyway.

Focus on the future

Speak to your financial advisor about options like setting up a charitable trust with FOPJC as the beneficiary or setting up a donor advised fund at a local community foundation.
